Insightrainer Creatrainer is an initiative of a group of trainers who are experienced in the field of competence development of trainers in the youth field. We had the chance and pleasure to work with different teams on various training of trainers and some of us also developed tools, portfolios and manuals to support the development of trainers' competences.

The competence framework of trainers is a hot and developing topic in our field since beginning of 2000s. Being involved in the process of competence development schemas and processes with various institutions (European Commission’s Erasmus + programme, Council of Europe’s Youth Department and the Partnership between European Commission and Council of Europe); at one point, we asked to ourselves the critical question, from a personal point of view. Who were those trainers that changed our lives forever? What made them special that they could motivate (and develop) us to work for democracy, inclusion and empowerment?
