Visuals and Comics
Visuals and Comics workshop is a 5-day workshop that aims to increase the overall quality of the work done by non formal educators in the youth field; through developing skills in the use of visuals and comicsin general and exploring the use of the skill in educational materials design.

As each workshop has a thematic focus; the workshop also has sessions on learning more about the topic.
In line with the overall objective, the specific objectives of this Workshop are:

To become acquainted with how illustrators prepare to draw,

To gain a theoretical overview of how to transfer and transform messages through drawing,

To practice developing a personal visual vocabulary and work with metaphors,

To explore the potential of drawing in youth work,

To reflect on ‘taboos’ and their effects in the interpretation of visual material,
-
To get information and share practices on the theme,
-
To reflect on individual learning processes and support the Youthpass process.

Target group:
Non-formal educators in the youth field, the trainers’ affiliated with the various National Agencies of the Erasmus+ Programme and SALTO Centres, the members of the trainers’ pool of the Council of Europe’s Youth Department.

Format:
The Visuals and Comics workshop can be run on its own. It can also be run as a part of a long term learning process and can be linked with other workshops available in Insightrainer Creatrainer modules as well as the Product Jam.
